WEBFeb 22, 2022 · TB3 with DP 1.4 OR USB-C-only with DP 1.4 = 5120x2160 @ 60hz. TB3 with DP 1.2 OR USB-C-only only DP 1.2 = 5120x2160 @ 50hz. HDMI 2.0 = 5120x2160 @ 50hz. The 50hz is much easier to use than 30hz with the Dell. Sure, it's not perfect, but the mouse movement is far smoother than 30hz.

WEBDec 23, 2020 · Sounds like Dell U4021QW will be 140 pixels per inch, compared to 111 pixels per inch for the LG 38WN95C. Doesn't that mean that you'll need to enable fractional scaling, i.e. 1.25x or 1.5x or else text will be too small? The high resolution combined with fractional scaling might stress the graphics card?

You are getting almost 2x pixels. The 38” looks good, however the 40” is stunning and side by side you can tell a difference. My 38” collects dust or gets loaned to friends.
