Goosneck/5th tow dolly... Legal? Functional? Availability?

There are multiple companies that sell a converter dolly for this exact purpose. —In California— If it has 2 points of mounting contact to the truck, it becomes part of the truck and is not considered a separate trailer.

Put a glad-hand on the fork lift using a ball valve to release the brakes. Remember your forklift is rated at the mast, not out at the end.

WEBApr 14, 2009 · In NC the limit is 60'. My current setup is: RV 40', trailer 18'4", trailer tongue 4', trailer hitch is about 10". This gives you 63' 2" of total length. Maybe I'm just reading to much into it but I have talked to people pulling doubles before (dually, fifth wheel, and trailer) that have been pulled for being to long.

In CA you can legally pull doubles and the entire combination can be up to 75ft long as long as each trailer doesn't exceed 28.5ft in length, and the first trailer does not need to be a 5th wheel, provided the combo is being pulled by a tractor-truck.

WEBMar 29, 2007 · Insert "The Mexican" a 1991 GMC 3500 4x4 with about 70psi in the rear tires. Every time we set that trailer down on the gooseneck I can hear the rear springs and tires scream bloody murder. Even with all that pressure in the tires the rims are about 2 inches from pavement and the front end threatens to head for the moon.
