The PG27UQ and X27 are two of those monitors that accurately cover the sRGB color space when set to 8-bit color. These are premium monitors, though.

WEBDec 1, 2000 · After gaming on an HDR television my 144 Hz IPS monitor has lost its luster. The low contrast ratio, IPS glow, and less vibrant colors are readily apparent. It's too bad that the very few HDR G-Sync monitors are still priced so high. The 'HDR' G-Sync monitors are FALD- which is a fairly halfassed way to approximate HDR.

WEBAug 15, 2005 · The quantum dot layer and lack of polarizer in QD-OLED panels also make black levels appear elevated. TFT Central did an analysis of this. Obviously QD-OLED need to be used in pitch black room just like CRTs or plasma - I am used to this requirement. Otherwise with lights on image starts looking LCD-like.

WEBJan 21, 2019 · It appears you are looking at content in the SDR color space (REC.709) which is being displayed in the HDR color space (REC.2020) and thus ends up mapped a bit differently. From your monitors specs: "The HDR setting of Windows defaults to "On" and should be set to "Off" when not viewing HDR content."
Display(s) HDR support issue or did SONY screwed up PS5
WEBJan 18, 2016 · This would in my book exclude monitors as the source of issue and that leaves PS5 itself as the culprit. To me it looks like SONY really screwed up HDR support and just sends incorrect image to the display. It would be however good to confirm that is the case with more displays than two LG monitors I have.
