Assuming you have a tractor pulled (disk) harrow and are planting more than 2 acres, plan to (disk) harrow it up anyway, my option would be to buy a drill. If you have small plots, less that 1/4 acre in size and less than a couple acres a firminator piece of equipment, might be something to consider.

WEBAug 31, 2023 · Understood. My plots are all mostly level. We don't even spray anymore before planting. Just mow and run the Firminator. Never met anyone that bought a drill that regreted it. If you go that route, post up some pics. We planted last weekend but I didn't take any pics. Here's a pic from planting a small plot last year with the Firminator.

I planted about 6 acres of dove field with it this summer and will have about 4 and some change acres planted on it this fall if we ever get rain again.

I've seen the food plot planters and they are EXPENSIVE as heck. There's a used Frontier food plot planted on my local craigslist right now for $4800 dollars!!
