Magnificent rock formations! We went to the top by quite steep stairs. The walk is not very easy, but it is also not too difficult. You just have to take some time. We had a lovely sunny day and the … Full review by Soccca

Fabulous scenery from the fortress, with walls still in tact. The rock formations were the highlight, but a also a neat little village. Full review by KiwiKerry53

The information about the price for parking is not correct. The price is 2,40 bulgarian levs (around 1,30 euro) and it is not per hour, but for unlimited time. So either you misunderstood something, or you have been deceived, which is highly unlikely.

The rocks are the fortress and surround the fortress. The parking is next to the entrance to the fort. Get a map or a topo-map to walk the rock formations. They cover a large area at different levels. When we visited the entry gate was not manned. Having said that if they decide to charge entry fees it would be for the fortress not the remainder of the rock formations. Most people I spoke with seemed to blend the fortress with the rock formations, I view the fortress as being built among the formations. I could have spent more time there but was limited on time. Enjoy the scenery, and the town.
