Alabama basketball is a bit banged up as a new season is about to begin. Head coach Nate Oats says key transfer addition Chris Youngblood has an ankle injury, per On3. He’s expected to be 100 percent by conference play at the end of the calendar year.

Meanwhile, freshman Derrion Reid had a brace on his hand. Oats said Reid is more week-to-week but expects him back by the Wake Forest exhibition on Oct. 18. Reid was a five-star prospect and a McDonald’s All-American.
