Finnish authorities arrested Simon Ekpa, the self-acclaimed Prime Minister of Biafra Government in Exile, BRGIE, last Thursday. This has raised questions about who he is and what he stands for.

The Finnish police said Mr Ekpa “has contributed to violence and crimes against civilians in South-eastern Nigeria.”

The Nigerian government has confirmed the arrest of a controversial Biafra agitator, Simon Ekpa. The foreign affairs ministry released a statement on Friday.
