Debris from a downed drone was found outside Ukraine’s parliament building on Saturday morning after the country’s defense systems largely succeeded in fending off a widescale drone attack launched overnight by Russia.

A Russian drone violated Romanian airspace during an overnight attack on Ukraine on Sept. 8, the country's defense ministry confirmed in a statement.

Drones targeted an ammunition depot in Russia's Voronezh region, with social media channels posting video of the explosions.
