Upon the declaration of Misamis Occidental as an insurgency-free province, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday called on local authorities to “thwart any possible comeback” by terrorist groups to sustain peace in Mindanao.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Presidential Communications Office MANILA — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr on Friday expressed confidence that the Philippines would soon be declared insurgency-free as the government continued its peace efforts.

President Marcos has asked the government units of Misamis Occidental to prevent terrorist groups and their supporters from coming back to the newly-declared insurgency-free province.
