Israel said it carried out an air strike Sunday targeting Hezbollah's chief of staff in Beirut, hitting an apartment building in an operation which the Iran-backed militant group said crossed a red line.

Hezbollah is rebuilding its arsenal in southern Lebanon, violating a fragile ceasefire with Israel as tensions rise along the northern border amid daily IDF strikes.

On Friday, in a targeted strike the IDF eliminated a Hezbollah terrorist in the Froun area in southern Lebanon. Throughout the war, the terrorist advanced terror attacks against the State of Israel and IDF troops.
