GENOA TWP., MI — A 90-year-old man died Wednesday after falling through the ice while windsurfing on a Livingston County Lake. Emergency responders were called around 2 p.m. March 13 to Lake Chemung in Genoa Township after witnesses reported seeing the fall, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office reported in a release.

Officials are reminding residents to stay off thawing ice after a 90-year-old Howell man fell into a frigid lake in Livingston County this week, leading to his death. DELTA COUNTY, MI – Officials in the Upper Peninsula have issued a warning after numerous incidents of vehicles going through unsafe ice. The Delta County Sheriff’s Office said ice rescue personnel responded to three separate incidents on Little Bay de Noc on Thursday.
