EXCLUSIVE: The Lego Group under its deal with Universal Pictures is making three live-action movies with directors Jake Kasdan, Patty Jenkins and Attack the Block filmmaker Joe Cornish. The plots of all yet-untitled three movies are under wraps.

That’s a lot of bricks in motion, although it’s worth reiterating (again) that these are live-action projects. Thus far Lego and Universal have been sticking to the animated sphere, working together on several Lego Jurassic Park/Jurassic World -themed video games and TV series.

The Lego group has enlisted directors Jake Kasdan, Patty Jenkins and Joe Cornish to helm a trio of live-action movies in the works at Universal Pictures. Universal's executive vice president of production development Matt Reilly and director of production development Jacqueline Garell will oversee these projects for the studio.

Universal Pictures and the Lego Group are linking up for three live-action movies centering on the toy line of interlocking blocks. Directors Jake Kasdan (Red One), Patty Jenkins (Wonder Woman) and Joe Cornish (Attack the Block) are each developing a separate Lego film.

Universal will team up with The Lego Group to co-produce a trio of untitled live-action films based around the popular toys, with Jake Kasdan, Patty Jenkins and Joe Cornish all set to direct. Kasdan,
