Ahead of their second matchup of the 2024–25 NHL season (their first in Calgary), the Calgary Flames and the Columbus Blue Jackets put together an emotional pre-game ceremony to honor their late former teammate Johnny Gaudreau, who tragically died in August.

With the Gaudreau family watching from the stands, Rasmus Andersson, Kevin Bahl and Yegor Sharangovich scored goals as the Calgary Flames shut out the Columbus Blue Jackets, 3-0, in a game between the two franchises the late Johnny Gaudreau played for.

The Calgary Flames and Columbus Blue Jackets paid joint tribute to late NHL All-Star Johnny Gaudreau and his brother, Matthew, on Tuesday night in the first matchup between the two teams in Calgary since the brothers were killed in August.
