Delta Air Lines’ service meltdown, which led to thousands of cancelled flights and a half million stranded customers, cost the company hundreds of millions of dollars. And now it wants Microsoft and the cybersecurity firm that caused the problem to compensate it for at least some of its losses.

8.5 million devices were confirmed affected by the CrowdStrike outage, but Microsoft says that's only a subset. Microsoft says that the CrowdStrike outage affected many more Windows devices than it previously revealed. Believe it or not, it's been 10 days since a global computer outage took down some of the world's biggest companies.
