Akron police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place on Sunday afternoon at Patterson Park. According to a press release, officers responded to calls of shots fired in the park at approximately 3 p.

A 21-year-old man was found dead Sunday afternoon from gunshot wounds in Patterson Park. Capt. Mike Miller of the Akron Police Department said that the police department received several calls around 3 p.m. for multiple gunshots heard around the 600 block of Lucille Avenue. Responding officers found the man.
