Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Friday that he has spoken with the leaders of France, the U.K. and Germany about a proposed 28-point peace plan from the Trump administration to end Russia's war in Ukraine.

The White House wants Kyiv to sign off on a “framework” to end the war in Ukraine based upon the U.S.-crafted 28-point peace plan by Thursday, according to three U.S. officials.

The Trump administration has told Ukrainian and European officials there is little room to negotiate on its plan to end Russia’s war, as the US heaps pressure on Volodymyr Zelenskyy to sign a deal drawn up with Moscow’s help by Thursday.

The reported ultimatum marks a sharp escalation in Washington’s efforts to push Russia and Ukraine toward negotiations.
