Snow begins around 4 on Saturday afternoon and continues through the evening. Snow from the mid-level low will end before 4 a.m. on Sunday, but lake effect snow will likely continue through Monday morning. The biggest impact from the weekend snow will occur from 5 p.m. on Saturday through around 6 a.m. on Sunday, with snow-covered roads possible.
The NWS forecasts snow for Pittsburgh, with a Winter Storm Watch for impactful snow south of I-70 this weekend.
WE WILL HAVE CLOUDS AROUND AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE DAY ON TUESDAY. ANY SNOW WILL BE FLURRIES. IT WILL BE VERY BRIEF AND IT WILL BE NORTH OF I-80 ON WEDNESDAY. WE’LL START OFF WITH SOME SNOW IN THE MORNING HOURS LIKELY SOME WET SNOW THAT WILL CHANGE OVER TO RAIN.
From 7 p.m. through around 11 p.m., snow-covered roads will be possible. The Pittsburgh area could see a quick inch of snow falling this evening. Don't forget about winds as well, with winds gusting up to 35 m.p.h. In Pittsburgh, and as strong as 50 m.p.h. in the Laurel Highlands. It appears the strongest winds will happen before 5 p.m.
