Police in Riviera Beach have issued an Amber Alert for two children believed to be taken by their biological mother, traveling in a damaged black Toyota sedan.

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A major crash on I-95 South in Riviera Beach is blocking lanes on Tuesday morning. Florida 511 reported the crash just before Exit 76, Blue Heron Boulevard, at 8:42 a.m. In the latest update at 8:45 a.m., officials said that the three left lanes have been blocked.

Prosecutors will seek the death penalty against the Riviera Beach mother accused of killing her 7-year-old daughter earlier this year.

Nia Williams died on April 28. Investigators allege the 7-year-old suffered fatal damage to her organs after her mother stomped on her.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) said 11-year-old Akachi Turner and 3-year-old Aizon Turner were last seen in the 1200th block of West 6th Street in Riviera Beach.
