Another round of scattered showers to close out our weekend. Lowland rain will ramp up overnight Saturday with showers lingering into Sunday. Overall, Sunday will be more dry than wet, but there will be enough instability that we may see some more isolated storms with lightning,

Grab your raincoat, because it’s going to be a wet weekend in the Portland area. There’s a 100% chance of rain Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. The high will be about 49 degrees. Up to 1/2 inch of precipitation is expected.

A couple of key developments we are tracking heading into the weekend are winter storm warnings, mountain pass travel, and when to expect dry weather to return.

Unsettled weather around Western Washington continues into the weekend. A disturbance to our south will increase lowland rain chances and mountain snow beginning Friday night.
