Thailand and Cambodia held talks on Thursday to open a border crossing as their conflict extended into a fourth day, with both countries still waiting to hear from U.S. President Donald Trump, who says he believes he can put a stop to the fighting.
Thailand's Parliament was dissolved Friday for new elections early next year as the country engaged in deadly fighting with Cambodia.
The escalation broke the ceasefire brokered in July by Trump who threatened to halt trade talks with the two countries unless they ended the fight.
