Yes! Not only is The Witcher guaranteed a fifth season, but it's in post-production now. In April 2024, a little under a year after season 3 premiered, Netflix announced that The Witcher will film its next two seasons back to back with season 5 as the finale.
It is available to stream now on the same day that season four has been made available (October 30). While it serves as a prequel feature length film, concentrating on some main characters shown in the latest eight-part series, it also reveals a little of what happens after the finale.
Yep! The Witcher Season 5 is coming to Netflix. Production on the fifth and final season began in early 2025. The Witcher Season 5 will adapt the story found in the remaining books in Sapkowski’s Witcher series: The Tower of the Swallow and Lady of the Lake.
Season 4 continues the sprawl that has made "The Witcher" feel less like a gritty fantasy slash-em-up and more like homework.
The Witcher is returning for a fourth season on Netflix today, but what can fans expect from the final two instalments?
Picking up after the devastating (and Continent-altering) events of the Thanedd Coup, season 4 sees Geralt (Hemsworth), Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allan) once again scattered across the war-ravaged Continent.
The Witcher season 4 arrives on Netflix in less than 24 hours, so unless you've booked the day off work, there's literally no way of rewatching the previous three chapters before episode 1 drops. If you're in need of a memory jog, though, the streamer has come to the rescue with a beautifully illustrated recap.
