Other central Florida theme parks have already announced closures as Disney has begun making adjustments to attractions with "unique environments" only

Major theme parks Walt Disney World and Universal remained open Tuesday ahead of Hurricane Milton’s expected hit as a major storm in Florida, even as other parts of Orlando’s tourism machine shut down.

As of Thursday morning, Milton was a powerful Category 4 hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico with maximum winds of 150 mph. The day before, Milton broke U.S. records for rapidly intensifying from a tropical storm to Cat 5 hurricane in 24 hours.
