More than 31,000 Kaiser Permanente nurses and other health care workers walked off the job Monday in an open-ended strike across California and Hawaii.
The strike by a union representing 31,000 nurses, physical therapists, midwives and others at Kaiser Permanente comes amid a monthslong labor dispute over staffing and compensation.
Kaiser said it will contact members in advance if their care is affected due to health care employees going on strike Monday.
The healthcare system said it will work with neighborhood stakeholders to plan the development of the purchased land.
