In his report today outlining his expectations for Apple's upcoming iPhone 16 event, which takes place on Monday, Bloomberg's Mark

Ahead of the iPhone 16 event next week, Mark Gurman reports that Apple has been planning another keynote for M4 Macs and new iPads.

The iPad mini is due a new version, its seventh-generation. Overdue, indeed, as the current model launched in September 2021. It seems likely that the next model could come very soon, then, perhaps as soon as the upcoming Special Event on Monday, September 9. Here’s why I think that’s wrong.

Apple has finally released two new iPads this calendar year: the iPad Air (2024) and the iPad Pro (2024). However, the regular iPad hasn't been updated since 2022. It's not a bad tablet by any means, but with a little bit of research and know-how, you can find other tablets that might be a much better fit.

It is said that the next iPad mini will be unveiled in October concurrently with the introduction of the first Macs equipped with the M4 series of chips, which will include the iMac, Mac mini, and 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models.

It’s been a while since Apple last updated the iPad mini, and a recent report suggested that the next generation is indeed coming soon. However, contrary to what some may have thought, it seems that Apple won’t be announcing new iPads next week alongside the new iPhones.
