Ewers looked good, by many accounts, with his accuracy and ball placement. He did not, however, attempt several ground drills, such as the 40-yard dash or broad jump.

Ewers (6-foot-2, 214 pounds) didn't participate in the bench press, 40-yard dash, broad jump or three-cone drill, but he threw. His throwing session didn't get off to an ideal start.

Ewers completed seven of eight passes for 66 yards in Saturday's 14-6 preseason win over the Jaguars.
