The SAS ODBC Driver includes support for long SAS variable names. In addition, you can use a name literal for specifying SAS data set names or DBMS column names that contain special characters.
The SAS ODBC Driver uses the TCP/IP protocol to communicate both with local servers and with remote SAS/SHARE servers. Configuration of DDE servers is no longer supported.
