Formula 1 chief executive Stefano Domenicali has signed a new five-year contract to the end of 2029. The Italian, a former Ferrari team principal and Lamborghini chief executive, has held the role since 2021.

The 59-year-old Italian’s deal will run until 2029, and was announced just 24 hours before the first track action of the new campaign at Melbourne’s Albert Park.

Stefano Domenicali is going to stay in his current role with Formula 1 for a few more years. In a statement Wednesday ahead of the season-opening Australian Grand Prix Liberty Media announced that Domenicali would continue as the President and CEO of F1 for an additional five years,

WOKING, England — Oscar Piastri has signed a “multi-year” contract extension with McLaren, the F1 team said Tuesday. The announcement came five days before the first race of the new season at Piastri’s home Australian Grand Prix.

In the weeks before the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix, back in October of 2023, McLaren CEO Zak Brown looked me square in the eye and made a straightforward declaration about the team’s driver pairing of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
