The National Weather Service is now confident in a system that will bring a good bit of winter weather to south Georgia.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for parts of Georgia, with areas south and east of Atlanta possibly seeing flurries to up to one inch of snow before late morning. Conditions are expected to clear by the afternoon, but freezing temperatures overnight could lead to black ice Monday morning.

Snow was observed as far South as Florida as temperatures plummeted. New York City could get up to four inches of snow and up to six inches is possible in Boston.

Winter weather advisories remain in effect for several counties across South and Middle Georgia as a cold front moves through the state.
