President Donald Trump has turned up the heat on European leaders as he looks to ink a deal for the U.S. to acquire Greenland, including a specific focus on French President Emmanuel Macron in recent weeks.

Trump said he had the "concept of a deal" on Greenland, but didn't share details of the agreement — or who agreed to it.

"They're not there for us on Iceland, that I can tell you," the president said in a remark that appeared to be about Greenland.
