The Chicago Cubs are honoring Ryne Sandberg Friday with a public celebration of his life at Gallagher Way. The tribute will take place outside the ballpark at Gallagher Way from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Sandberg’s private funeral will be on the video board.

The cubs also displayed Sandberg's personal collection of memorabilia, including multiple generations of his jersey, which the team said will now be a part of the Wrigley Field archives.
