DETROIT -- Detroit Tigers bench coach George Lombard has emerged as a candidate for the vacant Chicago White Sox managerial position, according to a report from the Sox Machine website. The White Sox fired Pedro Grifol in August and finished the year with Grady Sizemore as the interim skipper. The White Sox lost an MLB-record 121 games in 2024.
