The Philadelphia Phillies have activated left-handed reliever José Alvarado from the restricted list following the completion of his 80-game suspension. Alvarado, who will not be eligible to appear in a postseason game,

Alvarado was suspended 80 games without pay on May 18 after testing positive for a performance-enhancing drug.

José Alvarado returned from his Triple-A rehab assignmen and was reinstated from the restricted list before Tuesday night's game.
