Justin Herbert gave it his best shot, but in the end, his high-ankle sprain proved to be too painful to play through. The Chargers quarterback made it to midway through the third quarter before he exited Sunday's game against the Steelers for good after taking a sack that made his already painful injury even worse.

Herbert, who came into Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with an ankle injury, left the game one play after getting sacked by Elandon Roberts midway through the third quarter.

Rookie wide receiver Roman Wilson remains out with an ankle. So does veteran guard Isaac Seumalo (pectoral injury). Cornerback Darius Rush, safety Terrell Edmunds and tight end MyCole Pruitt are also inactive for the Steelers.
