Microsoft has made Copilot the name and style of its AI assistant and other AI services for more than a year, but it seems the company might have a rebranding project underway with a transparent origin.

Processors can handle Recall if they have neural processing units (NPUs) and can hit 40 TOPS (trillion operations per second). Meteor Lake CPUs have NPUs but don’t qualify for Recall. Since June, many new PCs that support Recall feature Microsoft’s Copilot+ branding. Many of the first CoPilot+ PCs sported Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X chips.
