After three bargaining sessions this week failed to produce a new contract, union officials announced Thursday night that Naperville School District 203 teachers will go on strike Tuesday.

In a joint statement, the two sides said the tentative deal will avoid a strike​, and no classes will be cancelled next week.

Just one after classes were back in session for the 2025-26 school year in suburban Naperville, District 203 Superintendent Dan Bridges sent a message to parents, advising families of a possible teachers strike after months-long contract negotiations stalled.
