NORTH TEXAS – Snow continues to fall across North Texas after a winter storm warning was dropped early Friday morning. Several inches of a wintry mix of sleet and snow were forecast to fall over North Texas between Thursday and Friday. This marks the first winter storm of the season.

The bulk of the winter precipitation in North Texas is over, with some cities in the northern portion of the Dallas-Fort Worth area getting more than a half a foot of snow and sleet. Snow activity in the region was expected to peak Thursday evening,

Parts of North Texas have already seen a significant amount of snow, with more expected in the coming hours. Snow has been falling in Denton and Collin County for a decent amount of the day, while Tarrant County and Dallas County have seen less snow. Areas like Prosper and Bonham saw six inches of snow or more reported by 9 p.m.
