No one’s talking about sending National Guard troops here. But Gov. Mike DeWine honored Trump’s request to send troops to the country’s capital, along with Republican-led West Virginia and South Carolina. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is coordinating with governors to authorize additional Guard units as needed.
