Another San Francisco immigration judge was fired by the Trump administration Friday, NBC Bay Area’s Investigative Unit has confirmed, marking the third Bay Area immigration judge to be let go since July.

The order expands on an earlier one that protected more than a dozen other cities and counties, including Portland, San Francisco and Seattle.

A U.S. judge stopped Donald Trumps plan to cut money from sanctuary cities. These cities, like Los Angeles and Chicago, do not fully follow federal immigration rules. Judge William Orrick said the policy was not legal.
