WKLY reported late Wednesday morning that Shelby County High School was on lockdown and had a large police presence.

Jose Goevava, 24, was found dead in his Shelby County Jail cell on Oct. 5. He had been booked into the jail earlier that day on a charge of assault family violence. A state custodial death report from the Texas Attorney General’s Office was released Tuesday, saying Goevava died by hanging himself.

Kentucky officials are investigating after a series of weapon threats sent Shelby County area schools into lockdown Wednesday morning.
