The Supreme Court on Wednesday handed President Joe Biden a surprise victory as it allowed the Environmental Protection Agency to temporarily enforce its rules regulating planet-warming pollution from power plants.

But even as a debaters’ point, the Democratic Court-reform plan utterly fails to fill the role anti-anti-Trumpers need to play. It is not a “Court-packing” scheme nor an assault on the Constitution. It is a procedurally fair idea to correct undeniable problems in the status quo.

The U.S. Supreme Court allowed a court order to stand, blocking the Biden administration from enforcing policy in Texas that mandates hospitals and doctors to perform emergency abortions or lose federal funding.
