Elon Musk seemingly suggested that on Nov. 24, when he replied to another user on his social platform X — the website formerly known as Twitter — who claimed the site throttled the performance of posts with links. This would mean you'd likely see fewer articles from actual news sites.

Musk also reposted instructions from another user which advises: "Avoid posting links to external sites, as they limit your potential reach. Instead, prefer to upload your content directly to this platform. If you still need to include a link, add it in the reply section to ensure your post’s reach isn’t affected."
