Vancouver, B.C. – Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the club has acquired forwards Marco Rossi and Liam Öhgren, defenceman Zeev Buium and a first-round pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for defenceman Quinn Hughes.

Vancouver was also lacking depth up front. Tanner Pearson was its third-best winger. The likes of Tyler Motte, Juho Lammikko and Matthew Highmore were top-nine forwards during an unsustainable run of form that we now remember as The Bruce Boudreau bump.

The Vancouver Canucks will see a familiar face in each of their five games on this road trip before the Christmas break.
