U.S. stock indexes are rising Monday, and trading seems to be calmer following last week’s roller-coaster ride. The S&P 500 climbed 0.7% in early trading and got back within 1% of its all-time high set earlier this month.

Monday's rally was significantly attributed to Apple which rose 3.9 per cent amid optimism about demand for its latest iPhone design. It was the strongest force lifting the S&P 500 and set its own record high.
