Detroit Tigers outfielder Akil Baddoo will miss the start of the regular season after undergoing surgery to repair a broken right hand.
LAKELAND, Fla. -- Detroit Tigers outfielder Akil Baddoo underwent hand surgery on Thursday and will miss the rest of the spring. Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said Baddoo had been dealing with wrist soreness early in camp and tried to fight through it. Testing eventually revealed a fracture of his right hook hamate.
Baddoo underwent surgery Thursday to address a hamate bone fracture in his right hand, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
