Phenom pitcher Roki Sasaki elected to join Arizona's National League West foe in the Los Angeles Dodgers, he announced on Instagram.

In an amazing moment for the Arizona Diamondbacks, second baseman Ketel Marte has clinched the No. 1 spot among MLB second basemen, according to a fan poll on MLB Network.

Opening Day for the Diamondbacks' regular season is a night game at Chase Field on March 27 at 7:10 p.m., against the Chicago Cubs. Arizona's opening series is four games against the Cubs from March 27 to March 30, all starting at different times.

Even though it had been nearly three weeks since ace right-hander Corbin Burnes had agreed with the Arizona Diamondbacks on a $210 million, six-year deal, it was still a little stunning to see him in the team's jersey at Chase Field on Wednesday.

Spring training is less than a month away, but there is still plenty of MLB offseason business to tackle. A handful of notable players remain on the free-agent market, including Alex Bregman, Pete Alonso and Anthony Santander.
