Feds announced criminal charges against three people who allegedly falsely claimed their properties were destroyed in the Eaton and Palisades wildfires in order to receive tens of thousands of dollars.

Three people, two Southern California residents and a Texas woman, made false claims that their properties were destroyed in January’s wildfires in Los Angeles and received tens of thousands of dollars,

Two Los Angeles County residents and one from Texas are facing federal charges for allegedly seeking disaster relief funds by falsely claiming their properties were damaged in the Eaton and Palisades wildfires,
