Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Brazil to attend the annual G20 summit and to Nigeria and Guyana as part of a three-nation tour beginning November 16, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Tuesday.

Additionally, he will co-host the second CARICOM-India Summit in Georgetown, engaging with leaders from CARICOM nations to deepen India’s partnerships across the Caribbean.

The visit, the first by an Indian Prime Minister to Nigeria in 17 years, was at the invitation of Nigeria's President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, according to a statement by the Asian country's Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Prime Minister Modi will attend the G20 summit in Brazil, focusing on global issues and meeting world leaders during his three-nation tour.

Modi will first travel to Nigeria, making it the first time a prime minister will visit the country in 17 years. Next he will go to Brazil to attend the G20 Summit and conclude by going to Guyana

The Prime Minister is set to visit Nigeria and Guyana from November 16-21, marking the first trip by an Indian Prime Minister in decades. During the visit, he will engage in discussions to assess and strengthen the strategic partnership between India and Nigeria.
