The new GeForce RTX 5090 is the top of the line and the star of the show (so much so that it actually leaked just hours before it was officially unveiled), but Nvidia is actually launching four new 50-series GPUs at CES 2025, with the desktop models starting to ship this month and laptop versions arriving in March.

Nvidia officially launched the GeForce RTX 5000 series graphics cards for both desktop and laptop at CES today in Las Vegas.

Nvidia revealed its next generation of graphics cards, the GeForce RTX 50-series, at CES this week. There are four new GPUs in the lineup: the Geforce RTX 5090, 5080, 5070, and 5070 Ti.

In the laptop segment, the new Blackwell Max-Q technology delivers 40% better battery life and double the performance of previous generations. The RTX 5090 Laptop GPU comes with 24GB of GDDR7 memory, while the RTX 5080 model features 16GB, targeting creators and demanding workflows. The Laptop models will be available starting March.

Nvidia says the RTX 5090 is “2X Faster Than The GeForce RTX 4090;” the RTX 5080 is “Twice As Fast As The GeForce RTX 4080;” the RTX 5070 is “2X Faster Than The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti;” and the RTX 5070 is as fast as the RTX 4090.
