The Tampa Bay Rays will play their 2025 home games at the New York Yankees’ nearby spring training ballpark amid uncertainty about the future of hurricane-damaged Tropicana Field.

The Rays found a place to play for the 2025 season without having to go too far — Tampa’s George M. Steinbrenner Field, the spring training home of the rival New York Yankees. The Rays had been looking for an interim home since Hurricane Milton caused extensive damage to Tropicana Field last month.

After the damage Tropicana Field suffered from Hurricane Milton, the Rays will use their American League East rivals' spring home next season. Shortly after the end of the 2024 reg
