The Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC) held its fourth annual gala on Thursday (Sept. 19), honoring Usher, LL Cool J, BET Media Group, Live Nation, and BeyGOOD’s Ivy McGregor for using their respective platforms to amplify BMAC’s mission to merge artistry and activism.

LL COOL J and Usher were among the honorees saluted Thursday night by the Black Music Action Coalition at the organization’s fourth annual BMAC Gala. As BMAC co-founder/president/CEO Willie “Prophet” Stiggers noted, the event isn’t about “celebrating record sales, streaming numbers or other accolades. It’s the intersection of activism and music.”

The Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC) convened once again at Los Angeles’ Beverly Hilton last night for its fourth annual awards gala, celebrating stars including Usher, LL Cool J, Gunna and more during an evening meant to uplift the Black community and honor some of its most supportive stars.

Gala was held September 19, 2024 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. The awards ceremony hosted by Kenny Burns celebrated passionate artists, executives, and activists who are pivotal changemakers in championing racial equity and social justice within their community,
